The Northern Ireland Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (NICATS) will implement a credit based approach to learning within Northern Ireland.
NICATS is a credit framework which is a set of principles and guidelines for valuing, describing, measuring and recognising all learning.
This includes learning in traditional settings such as schools, colleges and universities as well as learning within the community and in the workplace.
